MPC-One (is top cover made of metal -like MPC-X?)

MPC-One (is top cover made of metal -like MPC-X?)

I always though Akai made a design flaw up with MPC-Live and Force because the top covers used that Rubber coating which will not last in years to come.
Have they fixed that with MPC-One and gone with metal?

Same rubber coating was on Roland R-8 back in 1990. I hated it.

Shit would rubb off after a few months of beat making and underneath was a super smooth black plastic.

Same with an Tascam porta 05. Bought one still in box, barely used, smelled of new. However the original rubber coating had turned into a horrible sticky mess. Hopefully not the case on the Live.
