CV/GATE on MPC X having confusion/issues

Hi everyone...

New user to the MPC X, actually my first ever MPC!!!!!

Trying to set up the CV/Gate outputs as all Gates. I want to use all 8 outputs to trigger modular drums. Is this even possible or is there a max of 4 gates outs. It lets you assign whether CV or Gate to whatever 1-8 output but it doesn't seem to do anything if I set something up like so:

Track 1 : CV/GATE (CV off, Gate set to CV1)
Track 2 : CV/GATE (CV off, Gate set to CV2)
Track 3 : CV/GATE (CV off, Gate set to CV3) and so on...

Ive gotten it to work like this

Track 1 : CV/GATE (CV 1, Gate set to CV2)
Track 2 : CV/GATE (CV 3, Gate set to CV4)
Track 3 : CV/GATE (CV 5, Gate set to CV6)
Track 3 : CV/GATE (CV 7, Gate set to CV8) and I just don't patch the CV 1,3,5 and 7. This only leaves me with 4 Gates though...

Hope Im doing something dumb or if not maybe I could feature request the 1-8 CV/Gates be freely assignable.

Finally got it! Got some help on the MPC X Facebook page. I wasn't creating a new CV track for each track I was using. Seems so logical now but sure didn't occur to me before!

I’m actually having the same problem! I just want to send 8 gates out to trigger some eurorack drum modules, but cannot get my mpc one to work. Could you expand or post a link to the Facebook post? Thanks in advance
