Recording Audio Track Question

In the manual it says you need to ARM, stop and then press record/Record start to record. I was wondering if there was a way to record whilst playing back so it begins recording on the next pass. On the Octatrack this is easy to do using record trigs.

The reason is that to have a good loop you need the tail to be recorded when it cycles round, assuming you are recording a sequenced synth/elektron box etc...

If not how do people work around it?

This is what I'm looking for too. A "record on next loop" button... Would be fantastic for live work
