That red is hard to read against medium grey background. Just saying.

Okay you lost me here. Why do you think the inputs are weak? I have had zero problems with the inputs on the Live, X, or Live mk2. In fact, I've been super happy with just how clean and transparent they are for a non digital solution.

Same here. Dokbrown, you're doing it wrong.

I make my own drums via external drum machines.
I use the MPC to sequence the drum machines but run the audio back into the MPC for sampling into clips.

I was always turning down the volume on all my chop programs & boosting the incoming audio track level to max to get a decent mix. I fixed this with a $50 headphone amp. I didn’t have such a problem with my roland MV so I assume its the inputs but I could be wrong. I am always using a headphone amp with ableton on my win10 computer, so maybe the problem is me & mixing. I am far from an audio engineer ;-)

I am finally going to jump forward into 2.8.1 from 2.6. the standard warp algo is killing me & I really want to ditch ABLETON. I assume pro-TEN works the same on both the MPC & FORCE. IF pro-TEN meets my basic needs, I will ditch ableton & cop an AKAI FORCE just for clip juggling/scene launching. I dig the cross fader for smoother transitions.

I will follow NEARTAO’s advice on another post & copy all my projects into another folder in case 2.8.1 creates problems with 2.6 projects.
