Copy a section in the middle of an existing sequence

So now when I make songs, I make it from sequence to sequence. I start with the intro, verse, hook...etc. But the hardest part is to sync the sequences together as far as beats go. And wheh i track mute on sequence it affect all my sequences.

Im thinking I should just make one long sequence about the length of a 4 min song and work from there. So my question is, since im making a long sequence, is there a way to copy the middle of a sequence to make that section longer.

For example I got the drum pattern down for the whole song, but i change a few things in the verse, so to extend that verse can I just copy that section to repeat till the hook comes.

If so how can I do this?

Track mute is a per sequence thing, if you are doing it from the Track mute screen. You can unmute a track in a different sequence and it shouldn't affect the other is what I mean.

Now if you did automation in the previous sequence before you duplicated the sequence, then you'll have to remove it in the new sequence.

Could be wrong about this, I'm not near my mpc to try it, but..
I think you could increase the sequence's overall length, then select everything from the beginning of where the new section will be to the end of the sequence.. then nudge the selection to the right, making room for your new part in the middle.
Then you're free to copy/past to the blank area, or punch in a new recording.
Maybe a good idea also to make your "big" sequence a minute or so longer initially, so you'll have more room to work. You can always trim it back later.

MAIN > sequence row pencil icon > COPY BARS. There's also insert bars and delete bars if needed.
