MPC Bible - Ch 20. Progressive drum layering - Samples Volum

hi, I am working my way through the MPC Bible and on chapter 20, the progressive drum layering chapter, why are some of the samples extremely low in volume and the others seem to be regular volume.

If you look at the sound wave file visually everything looks normal. But the volumes are not right.

I've not noticed any issues there, I don't think those files in that tutorial have ever been changed since the original release a few years ago. The sample on pad A1 is quiet because it's had all the attack shaved off it. That sample will look and sound fine in sample edit, it's just on pad A1 in the program that it will sound quiet.
