Hi folks,

With keygroup programs you have some hard wired destinations available for your q-links.

But you can also set other destinations like filter cut-off and LFO speed via the "learn" function, and, although the MPC will show these as assigned ("filter cut-off"shown in the Q-link readout), they won't actually do anything, right?

So in this regard the keygroup program / q-link implementation is somewhat incomplete / botched / broken, correct?

Cheers!

Ok...Being a noob to this I am not sure if my answer will be correct . . . . And am sure someone else will come along who can be more definitive......

The "learn" function...... although I haven't tried this yet, most learn functions I have come across in the wild are for a controller(in this case the MPC) to "learn" CC parameters of external gear..Like a hardware synth or something.... Allowing you to control it from the controller itself as opposed to going half way across a room to turn a knob/fader etc........

From what I can see my "hardwired" default q-link dests on keygroup programs, are the same as on drum programs....Mute/solo/pan/volume........

And the Q/links can still be customised in the "Q-link edit" screen to whatever parameter I want to control as usual...pad/scene/program/project wide..........

So am not sure if its botched/incomplete/broken.....It maybe you are trying to use the learn function for the wrong thing?

Just thinking aloud....As I said at the beginning... I am super new to this.... And am sure someone with more exp will confirm :)

I also don't know, man!

But the thing is, you can press "learn", then browse to that keygroup program's filter page, tweak the filter an it'll appear in the knob's OLED dislay. Now go back to Q-link edit, uncheck learn and it's still there. Now tweak the q-link but it has no effect on the filter.

Perhaps i'm doing something wrong, i dunno!

Customizable in the Q-Link Edit Page
