Not every midi controller keyboards work with the mpc x/live

Arturia minilab MKII:

This is a player's miniboard. Im setup stand alone ona mpc one. The minilab plays as good as I could ever ask in a quality 25 key with basic features. The mini plays.

So far I can't get pads assigned to a midi channel different than where I send the keys. And I can't get anything out of the knobs. I think the deal is the mini integrates with analog labs/DAW. With hardware it seems to me it's not fully compatible. But it plays nicely.

Anyone have a dif experience?

Note: I haven't installed the arturia control software/ accessed the minilab via pc yet. My hope is all parameters are accessable for mapping with the software.....
