Help needed with 3 MPC One issues/glitches

Love this machine but I'm having 3 reoccurring problems that I don't know whether I'm causing or if they are machine glitches. (I have updated to the latest version and tried looking in the manual first before asking these questions).

- Processing a sample: Every so often, when I go to process a sample, the full list of options isn't displayed. There is no 'Discard' or 'copy' function for example, just a much smaller set of options to choose.

- Weird chopping issue: Quite often, when I've chopped and converted samples into a program, it adds a random chop on a pad that has the grey arrow playhead thing displayed on the wave form (I don't know what the grey arrow is used for). It's usually on the last pad that the chops have been assigned to, but can also be in the middle. Sometimes it replaces one of the chops which is annoying as it's hard to workaround if i've converted the chops to non-destructive or pad-parameters rather than separate samples.

-Weird pad assignment in a different program: If I've assigned samples to pads in a program (1) and then later start assigning a different sample in a second program (2), the MPC often assigns the new sample I'm using in program 2 to the first pad in program 1 - overriding the sample or chop that was already there!

Does anyone have any info of what's happening and how to avoid theses issues as they're driving me nuts?

#1...its bcz you're in "Chop" Mode in the Sample Edit Screen. Put it in "Trim" mode and you'll see all the Options

#3...The MPC remembers what Program you're in, from the last track selected. Make sure you're actively in the Program that you want the sample to be assigned in

These functions are only available in TRIM mode. If you have CHOP mode selected, some won‘t work.

I‘d guess that‘s the cue marker. It is also possible that being an offset start / endpoint (if slice points are not LINKed). I have to guess, though, not sure about that.

Pad A01 is usually selected for assignment if you don‘t press another pad beforehand. It usually gets shown with a green LED frame.

@83dude No it’s nothing to do with unlinked chops this happens when linked. Say I’ve chopped a loop into 8 and it’s converted to a program across 8 pads - either the last pad will be different and display the grey arrow in the waveform or it sometimes adds in an extra chop that has the grey arrow in it when none of the others do.

Hard to explain but I hope that makes sense.

The other 2 problems are sorted now thanks to the help here.

The Gray Arrow is just the Cue setting. It helps you slice a lil more Surgically. It doesnt affect the Chops. If you mistakenly add a Slice, just highlight it...and Hold Shift and "Slice -" to erase the added blank slice
