Editing automation Mpc One

Hi, I'm Running 2.9.1 Firmware. I'm trying to do a simple task of drawing a straight line or curve from the beginning of a sequence to end creating a low or hi pass filter fade in over 16 or 32 bars....but can't get it perfect. Is there a way to do this perfectly.

I can do this but you cannot create a straight or curved line. There is no way to edit over the automation.
I've also tried step sequencer using the presets but it seems you can only do a fade on 1 bar. Thanks

Turn off the TC settings and it might make it smoother. You cant really make a curve on the MPC, its all going to be stepped, but you can get close by turning off the quantization and drawing it in. If you have TC set to a note value, your 'curve' is going to be plotted by that division, meaning you get a step at each 8th/16th/quarter note/etc. Do it without quantization and it might make a shitload of points but it will let you make as smooth of a curve as possible. It aint anything like the automation curves in Logic Pro/Ableton/Cubase/etc, its back to the 1980s 128 stepped MIDI values heh.

Thanks hopefully I will get close with all this help.
It's a shame it doesn't have such basic features added to the draw tools as for me it stops it being completely standalone. Hopefully there will be a new update with this implemented.

Also set the Sequencer Resolution to 960ppq to make Automating seem a lil Smoother
