Hey im planing to buy a MPC one .
Unfortinately the one has only 2 outputs (1;2) which are routing the main audio to the mixer.

Because i want to some performing and i need some cue ( monitor ) options for the samples in browser or the edit menu . Is it possible to only send the cue audition to the headphone jack which i could send to a seperate mixer channel ?
Standalone performance ( no audio interface)

Thank you if someone could test it :-)

No it is not possible. And this is why their decision to put CV instead of multiple outputs was stupid, because one can always add a MIDI/CV converter to a device equipped with MIDI. Adding extra outputs? Impossible without OS support.

So no, buy the MPC Live I,II or X, not the One.

Not stupid. One is a lesser model. By nature it will lack things the higher models have. The suggestion of Live, Live2, X is correct.

The point is, you can get CV/Gate support by plugging an external USB/CV/Gate converter on the One. There was no need for CV I/O to begin with. So these outputs would have been better suited for regular audio outputs since you can't put extra outputs on the One. Multiple outputs are not a "premium" function. CV/Gate certainly is on the other hand.

Fact is, it’s a lesser model, it does what it does and if not up to your standards then don’t buy it. It’s physically not there.

Indeed. Why would they have CV outputs when’s MIDI to CV converter would do the job? For that matter, why waste time and space on the headphone jack when a headphone amp could be plugged into the main outputs? Or why include a MIDI jack when a CV to MIDI converter could do the same thing? Why include an SD card reader on the MPC One when surely, anyone could just use a USB SD card reader? They should have replaced the SD card a lot with multiple outputs which would have been much more useful for everyone who could ever conceivably buy this thing.

Sure, and it's still a stupid choice by AKAI. You don't deem CV a "premium" function?

A “workhouse sampler” with only 1 pair of stereo outs ???? I don’t have an elaborate studio setup but that is more limiting than Cali gun laws.

As soon as I saw maschine+ only had 1 pair of outs I knew it was not for me.

I would get an MPC ONE only if I had the X. the ONE would cut down on wear/tear on my X.
