Saving projects on MPC X

So I am following the tutorial in the MPC Bible and have saved the Serquence as My first sequence, the Track as Drums, the Program as Shadow Kit, save it and yet when I turn my MPC back on the next day, I have to start all over again because I cannot find it. In the Project screen I press on the open folder icon in the middle of the top red bar and all that's there is the new project dcreen with the Save options. Can anyone please tell this noob what they are doing wrong?

In the book I explain how to save an entire project - you have to make sure you save the project before shutting down your MPC. Then when you boot up you can load your previously saved project from the browser, not from the folder icon in MAIN (this is only for creating new projects or saving projects).

So to load a previously saved project, go to BROWSER and locate the project, hit LOAD.

Or depending on your boot up options, you can see a list of your recent projects on the initial start up page (also covered in the bible)
