Hello
I have a problem with my Akai MPCX running in Controller Mode. Previously, I installed MPC Software in my laptop. I also installed the updater for MPC-2.10.1 and updated Akai hardware in Update Mode. Akai hardware now works as a sound card for a laptop - I can, for example, listen to virtual synthesizers from my computer.
However, despite the "physical" communication between the laptop and Akai hardware, after turning on Akai and trying to switch from Standalone Mode to Controller Mode, the screen on Akai "freezes" and permanently displays the message "Looking for computer". At the same time, the hardware acts as a sound card - so there is a connection.
Let me mention that I reinstalled MPC Software and updated Akai hardware twice. The problem persists. What to do to "make the screen find" the computer so that I can keep working.
Computer features: Dell, 3.0 Ghz processor, 16 GB RAM, Windows 10 (64). Works stably.

Best wishes

I hardly use the software, but maybe because I am no good in it but a Win10 user too: here a tip...
- starting e.g. youtube and playing music via the MPC stopps connecting to the MPC after starting it - and it hangs in the mentioned screen...
- if nothing runs on my PC and I start the MPC in Controller Mode and than start the software it connects ok

Maybe Windows does not release the other sound connection....

Not sure about this for Windows, but did you install the (seprate) Network MIDI Driver?

Are there any USB devices connected to the MPC? My MPC one hangs at the splash screen when certain devices are connected (including a powered hub) but not all.

Oh shit we got another person from the IE here??

Network MIDI Driver wont do anything for controller mode. All that is, is a virtual MIDI port to route MIDI over ethernet to the standalone MPC from your DAW. Check the USB stuff because when its in controller mode it passes everything connected to it through to the computer, you might have something locking it up.
