Anyone notice that the track length when set to, whatever beats, can , depending on what notes are in the sequence be unpredictable.

Eg. A 8 bar sequence with 1 note in the 3rd bar, when that particular track length is set to 1 beat , you’d expect nothing to play.....nope . Nothing will play until it gets to the point where the note is then repeats it as though it was within bar1 beat1, if you then add a note say in bar two, that does the same, but the original note doesn’t play.
Try it you’ll see what I mean.

Well.. Sadly the sequencer does not loop tracks independently, or this would have been a substitute for the lack of ability to edit time signatures per bar, like some older MPC's could do..

If the sequencer looped tracks independently, you could have used the track length feature to cut or add beats to do polyrhytms..

To simplify, say your sequence is set to one bar of 4/4.. This sets all tracks to 4/4

But you could add beats to turn one track to say a 5/4 and this would let you do polyrhytms, and it would work close to the 2nd sequence feature on the MPC 4000.
