PURGE UNUSED SAMPLES not working??

Hallo my friends,
i am more an DAW user, but i bought an mpc live now.
Not easy this thing to learn, please help me out.

If I load a Drum Kit i will not use every sample of it. So I use the purge function to delete the not used samples.
The Mpc Hardware asks me if a wanna delete all samples or just the unused. If i confirm just the unused the mpc deletes nothing. If i am confirming all samples it deletes all samples.
So wath i am doing wrong with the box??

Purging unused samples just get rid of sounds not used in a program.. Not stuff that you're not using in a track..

So if you load up a drum kit with 10 drum sounds, but you just use 5 for a beat, then the MPC still considers the other drums as being used, because they are assigned to pads in that program..

It should work if you go into the program menu and go through the pads with the drums you don't want to use, and delete them there..

Then you go to purge unused samples
