ONE, Velocity not working on pads

I can adjust velocities in the track grid and it works but not from the pads.
I used to be able to hold down the latch button and get different velocities through pressure but that doesn't work now either.
Tried fiddling with the preferences but nothing.

Sorry to state the obvious, but is the FULL LEVEL button lit or unlit?
