In the summer I re-bought the Live and also got an X. I don't have the SD card ejecting issue with either and I'm using the same cards, and computer as when I originally posted.

I know it doesn't help much but I wonder if there was either a bad batch of units produced with this issue or faulty USB cables. Akai had no answers...

Really happy with both the Live and X now and glad this jarring issue didn't kill em totally for me. Good luck all!

Are you using the blue cable that comes with it?

A little input here.. I had the constantly occurring problem of unmount/remount of SD CARD in standalone . It as reacting to hard banging of pads, but then it wa s doing erratically and very often it was quite hard to load a big proejct with the SD Card unmounting and remounting whil loading!

I got that kind of message every minute these days " SD CARD was not ejected properly, please eject to avoid loss of data" .

Afraid of an hardware ( MPC Live card reader, as the SD "San Disk 128 go" worked good on any other evices... But I did check my sd card with the Disk utility of my old Macbook Pro 10.13... The "S.O.S" function did notice some errors in the disk and repaired them, And for the moment I have no problem at all !! Even when banging !! Hope it helps :)
