Question before buying MPC One

Hi,
got an MPC One on order but I have a question. I did some searching but I still not quite get.
I know this subject has been discussed before but I don't understand that info on this forum vs what the manual sais.
I want to sample, arrange songs and then export to my DAW that works in 48k samplerate.
What I found is that the One works in 44k standalone and that I can choose other samplerates when exporting. That would mean upsampling, right?

But the manual, technical specifications page 347, states:
'Digital Audio System ADCs 24-bit @ 44.1, 48, or 96 kHz'

On page 115, audio mixdown, it states:
'Use the Sample Rate field to select a sample rate of 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz, or 96 kHz. In most cases, we recommend selecting 44.1 kHz.'
Why is that?

I checked info on updates to see if something had changed about this but no result.

So I am confused because of the specifications: Digital Audio System ADCs 24-bit @ 44.1, 48, or 96 kHz. That would mean that I can go from Analog to Digital in 48 kHz, right?

I believe you are correct, that the MPC in standalone only functions at 44.1khz, but it can convert from various sample rates and operate properly.

The recommendation to export to 44.1khz is likely because that is what the vast majority of consumer devices operate at. You can export to all the other sample rates though, and as long as the DAW you are working with supports them, it will work fine.

In the MPC Software you can work in 48kHz if your interface supports it, although it's not consistent,. For example, if I use my Audifuse set to 48kHz, and audio created by 'sampling' (recording, chopping samples etc) are saved in 48kHz, but if I bounce a MIDI track to audio (e.g. 'bounce to sample') the resulting audio file is 44.1, which I assume is a bug (I'll report this).

BTW, If I select the MPC One as an audio interface in the MPC Software, it only offers me 44.1, while the audiofuse offers several samplerates up to 192. So the 44.1 limitation seems related to the interface inside the MPC One, regardless of standalone or controller mode, there doesn't appear to be any way to change this.
