Purge RAM

I'm migrating my folders of samples to the MPC ONE. So far I have to go through these steps:

locate folder,
Load All,
Saving procedure to a new folder and name XPM

I'd like to move on to the next folder- but first i want to purge the memory so I'm not saving samples from the previous load up.

The only way I can do this is by rebooting, but there's gotta be a purge function.

Sorry, I looked through the manual so I'd be happy to get some advice from someone who knows.

actually, I'm not making a XPM... just saving all the samples that were loaded into a folder.

dangit. more of an issue. I thought I was simply saving a folder of samples, but it zips them up to an XPJ.

I'm being anal, but I just want to stay organized, not have duplicate sounds inside of XPJs. I just want a simple file transfer.

I'm unclear what you are trying to actually do? Could you explain it a little better? Migrating your samples from where to where (specifically)? Are you just trying to move folders of samples to your MPC disk?

so I have a USB drive with folders of WAV.

I am putting the USB in the MPC ONE, finding a folder I want, opening all, then immediately making a new folder on my SD card (not using internal). Then I try to save this group of samples to that folder. Sometimes it saved as an XPG, other times XPJ... Just very confusing. I basically just want my samples to be organized. It's a shame they didn't let you just migrate file structures onto the MPC.

Why not organise them on your computer first? The MPC doesn't have a suitable file management system for organising folders of samples.

Create a new empty project, damn sight quicker than rebooting

It doesn"t seem like any of what you're doing is necessary or advisable. Just arrange your samples on your media using your PC, and you're good to go.

I guess I'll just load what I want to use from USB to make new projects.... plus like, there's like 8gb on my SD card so who cares if my micro drum samples pitched up 13 find themselves saved in a project. It's more about the music, not me figuring out how to be super organized.
