I'll echo what Tutor said, but with one caveat: Akai support recommends an SSD for best performance on the Force for disk streaming, and I'd imagine there's a reason for that. :nod: For that reason, I stick to SSD's for both my MPC as well as my Force. But yeah - even a cheapo SSD these days is going to have read/write speeds that far exceed what the MPC (or Force) can do via the USB bus. I do tend to gravitate towards SSD's that have a 5 year warranty, though. YMMV...

I’ve got a 256 GB Samsung 860 EVO in my MPC X since I bought it a couple of years ago. Like EnochLight said: 5 year warranty sold me. I have a 1 TB 860 EVO in my Late 2012 Mac Mini. When I installed it back in summer 2019 it basically made it run like a brand new computer compared to the original 1 TB HDD.
