Syncing Loops in MPC Key 61

I need help syncing sample loops in the MPC Key 61. I have loaded them in, but have trouble warping or stretching them to match the tempo of the sequencer. It would help if there was a tutorial specific to the MPC Key 61, because the button layout and some procedures are different from the other models.

The process will be the same, regardless of model. Buttons may be extra or missing, depending on device, but the way to do something will be the same on all units.

Are you wanting loop behaviour to be similar to Ableton?

Hello. I haven't used Abelton, but I have a lot of experience with Reason, which has a simple drag-and-drop process. I've checked the tutorials for MPC Live and OS 2.11, but haven't had much luck. There are differences in the way the operation works in the MPC Key 61 as opposed to the other models that I find confusing. I suppose I'll have to wait for someone to post a specific guide for the keyboard...

What I'm hoping to find are clear step-by-step instructions on how to sync a wav loop to the tempo of a sequence IN THE MPC KEY 61. Looking at tutorials for the other models does not clear this up, because the hardware buttons are laid out differently, and on-screen buttons are different in many cases. Since the workflow is different for the MPC KEY 61, specific instructions for this model would be very helpful for those of us who are new to the platform. We shouldn't have to be searching through tutorials of the earlier models.

I'm still learning the system, so uploading a project is out of the question right now.

Instructions are identical in terms of software, all mpcs run the same firmware, buttons just provide shortcuts etc, absolutely no need for an mpc key specific tutorial on this topic.

Sample edit: make sure the sample is correctly looped and the tempo is detected correctly

Assign to layer in program edit > samples
press warp

Which stage are you struggling with and exactly what problems are you having?

Thanks guys, for your offers of help. I've decided not to go any further attempting syncing loops in the MPC Key (for now). It's a snap in the DAW I'm using (Reason). There are many other ways I can use this keyboard though.
The great sounds, drums, and the performance possibilities using the pads are what I'm gonna focus on. After using keyboard workstations for about 20 years, then switching to a DAW, I swore I was never going back to sequencing on a keyboard again. So now I'll just concentrate on the other great features.

Other way of doing it besides Tutor's explanation:

1. Go to Sample Edit
2. Work with Start and End Points if needed to adjust your wav to an exact measure, 1 bar 2 bars etc...
3. Touch the arrow in the low right part of the screen
4. Touch the button From BPM in the low left of the screen.
5. Specify the number of beats of your wav.1bar=4 beats...
6. Touch the MATCH button low center.
7.RTFM
You are done.
