Hey guys

I've had my MPC ONE since june 2020 and its had a fair bit of use (20 - 30 hours per week) up until recently the machine has worked perfectly with no problems apart from the occasional glitch or freeze which was solved by a soft reset.

I've been having a problem the last couple of weeks where my machines touch screen will often become unresponsive/barely responsive sometimes from its first use of the day or when I've been using it for 20 - 30 mins.

Sometimes a soft reset will temporarily solve it. I've done a lot of troubleshooting by reinstalling updates between 2.10 - 2.10.1 without solving my issue (I don't want to use 2.9 as I am using a Tascam model 12 for recording).

So my question is this a known issue with the firmware that other people are experiencing?
is there a way to fix this?

I'm also running a usb drive and SD card in the machine

Have you Deleted any of the Pre-Installed Files from the Internal Drive?

I think it just needs maintenance. A good cleaning inside and out with cotton swabs and alcohol, spray Deoxit. Oughta do the trick. Especially the time you used it, 4 to 5 hours max for me, weekly. And that's "if" I get that time. Different strokes for different folks, mileage varies but these are like laptops, they slow down because they dirty inside.

I've currently got a similar issue. Sometimes the selection brace gets massive lag in grid mode. Zooming in slightly seems to fix it and it also seems to happen on tracks that have had their patterns 'doubled'.

Sometimes when using the double length feature, I also use the independent length feature. This causes a section of midi to be retained, but is not available as its in the 'greyed out' inactive area. I have a feeling this is what causes the lag.

Both good points thanks guys!

I'll give reinstalling the factory content a go see if there's any improvements to my problem.

So after reinstalling the Factory content via SD card I'm still facing the same problem. :?

I've tried this multiple times without it solving the issue

My MPC Touch gets a similar problem, I don't think it's computer specific as it happens on two separate systems, seems to be hardware related. I sometimes get no responsiveness for a few days, then suddenly it's working again. TBH I'm about to upgrade to Apple silicon so I think that's the MPC Touch well out of the picture anyway. Shame as it's a more lightweight portable 'touchscreen' option compared to my MPC Live, works well when I'm moving between locations. Still think Akai should consider making another Touch.
