Does anyone know how to sample/record from and mpc one onto abelton?

Ableton is the business, the software is called "Live", not Ableton. It would be like calling a MPC "AKAI". Ableton has many other products, such as "Push" and "Push 2".

Why do you need to sample anything? Just bounce the audio in the MPC and transfer the resulting file into Ableton Live via a SD Card, no audio quality loss.

Use the audio-mixdown function on the MPC. (I also call that DAW "Ableton".)

Come off it, loads of people call it Ableton. As for many other products, there are versions of Push, hardly 'many'. Now lets say he's not using the MPC One, but the MPC Live which is often just called Live, now calling it Ableton to contrast, just makes things clearer.

Yeah, bit of a weird one this - I’ve been calling Ableton - Ableton since it came out.. I don’t know of anyone who calls it Live.

Calling a tomato a steak doesn't make it one, no matter how many people call it that. Personally, I call it Ableton Live (for the reasons already mentioned). A lot of people do as well. But hey - you do you, and I'll do me. Oooo... that came out wrong.

For the OP, why don't you just open the MPC Software plugin in Ableton Live as a plugin while in Controller Mode, and sample from that track? :hmmm:

Can you? lol I thought the abelton link was kinda messy I haven’t seen any YouTube videos go over it very well but how do you set it up and can you still use the mpc effects?

Huh? I didn't say anything about Ableton Link - that's something completely different. I said open the MPC Software (as a VST) in Ableton Live as a plugin (while your MPC is connected in Controller Mode). If your goal is to sample from your MPC into Ableton Live (I'm assuming as a Clip in Ableton Live's Session View, or as a linear audio track in Arranger View?), then running it as a plugin in Controller Mode is the simplest way IMHO.

Alternatively, you can run your MPC's line-out into your computer audio interface line-in and sample in Ableton Live the old school way.

I mean.. am I understanding what your original goal was? If not, apologies. Need more information from you... :hmmm:

Yesss broooo lol I tried to set it up with the cable that comes with mpc lives and to abelton live but I couldn’t figure how to set it up without it just triggering a pad instead I wanted to do everything on the mpc like side chaining etc…. And have the audio file come up so you can see it and adjust anything when you’re layering
