Drum Layering, please help newbie :)

I've been trying to figure out why I can't layer drums.

I've created tons of drum programs by sampling my hardware. But I can't figure out why everything only plays one at a time. All the keygroups I created play polyphonically, but drum programs only play one at a time. If I press a second pad, it mutes the first one.

This happens on every drum program. Is there a default setting I've missed?

In program edit, global, make sure POLY is set to poly not mono. Also if you wish, set the poly for each individual pad to poly as well
