Hi guys,
I've tried to look around for the answer to this, but can't figure it out.
I've got two midi keyboards hooked up to my MPC live II (for 2 separate band mates).
Trying to play them both simultaneously (they're both on different midi channels), but I can't play the same note, e.g. if I'm playing and holding a C# on one keyboard, I can't play it on the other.
I have both tracks set to separate MIDI channels, and Merge on both, with multi-arm recording.
Anyone experienced this?
I'm tearing my hair out!

I’m guessing they created this bug when trying to solve the other bug that was present in 2.10, where a note off on a second channel stopped the note on the first channel. Because that doesn’t appear to be happening now . I suppose that’s because it doesn’t start in the first place .
Clowns or what?

Has anyone found the cause of this issue? I have the same problem. I've tried all sorts of config changes on the MPC to no avail.

More details on my setup and observations. I have a Hydrasynth keyboard and MicroMonsta2 both attached via USB to my MPC One. The Hydrasynth is configured with local control off. Its track on the MPC is set to receive only from the Hydrasynth and output only to the Hydrasynth, and its input config under MIDI/SYNC menu is set only to TRACK. The Micromonsta track is set with no MIDI input and MIDI output only to the MicroMonsta2 MIDI device. If I play an A2 on my Hydrasynth keyboard and hold it, I can't trigger an A2 via the MPC pad (or any other external controller). Conversely, if I trigger the A2 pad on the MPC and hold it, I can't trigger an A2 on my Hydrasynth keyboard.

Any updates on this? I found the same thing is true in the MPC software. When my DAW sends different midi channels (1-16) into the MPC software to play tracks 1-16, it only lets a single instance of any particular note through, regardless of track or midi channel.

For instance, the project can only play one C1 at a time, so if I have a kick on track 1 (C1 - midi channel 1) and a bass note on track 2 (C1 - midi channel 2) it only plays one of them.

Makes dumping songs from MPC to Logic Pro a total PITA. Hope they fix it.

This was bumming me out as well!
It wasn’t really a problem when simply building up a song with maybe one midi keyboard hooked up, since the Mpc plays back the same recorded midi notes no problem. It wasn’t until I hooked up 4 midi keyboards w/ an MpcOne in a portable studio that I recently built and was trying to hash out some riffs on multiple keyboards at the same time and started hearing notes not triggering. Pretty big deal really if you want to play songs live.
Hopefully they fix this bug quick!
Btw. All controllers have their independent channels and are all set to there independent channels within the Mpc. I also painstakingly went through all the settings, even unrelated one by one with no remedy.

Anyway, here is my workaround. Sorry if it was mentioned somewhere here. I found this one thread thru google search and figured I’d put this here.
Fortunately all 4 of my midi keyboard controllers settings are programmable and retain there settings. I only needed to do this with 3 of them.
Each keyboard had a Transpose setting. I set each of the 3 keyboards transpose setting down 3 different levels, down 1,2 & 3. Then Transpose them back up 1,2, & 3 inside the Mpc on the track that the keyboard is assigned to.

This is probably all not necessary if your just creating songs or beats one track at a time and such. But if your recording multiple tracks at once or play stuff live like I do, this is a pretty simple fix for now.
I know I was happier than hell to figure this out because I love producing and jamming with the MpcOne!

Hope this is useful!
Cheers!
