Hi Gusy, i am new to the mpc world and bought myself a mpc one on christmas, love the device really!

now i am progressing through the mpc bible and have a question i cant find a answer on the web or in the forum.

in chapter 10, when i am in the pad perform mode, and i am using the progression type, how can i see in which octave i am actually? when i change the octave with +- i can hear it when pressing the pads, but the displayed infos on the pads remain the same.

i hope i could explain my problem, and would be happy for an advice

cheers

hi tutor

thanks for the quick reply!

thats the issue, the onscreen pads wont change their display the stay the same while in progression and moving up or down in the octaves, where is the key to doubletap you mentioned?

sorry I was doing that from memory, I forgot the pads no longer display this either. The double tap is on the SCALE & OCTAVE box, the octave is shown at the top of the resulting pop up - tap the left arrow and you'll see the keys grouped by octave.

IMO this is not an improvement, but apparently it is now 'as designed' and not a bug nor oversight.
