How come if you change the length of a track when you use that sequence in song mode the sequence doesn't play back the same? It only works if the track lengths are the same not different. What's the point of having this feature if you can't merge them into a song? And yes, I know about polyrhythms....

i think as of now this feature is only useful for live performances, i used it a lot while performing and its pretty nice to be able to improvise on it and come up with some weird polymeters that you can change realtime.
one trick you can use is set up your track length in your track, then send that midi to another track and record the midi information on the new track, then assign the same program to the new track and erase the original one, all this before going into song mode.

Has this issue ever been resolved, outside the midi loopback hack?

Would be great if a polymetric sequence could 'unroll' in song mode.
