Is it possible to keep my MPC in standalone mode and have MIDI from Pro Tools trigger different audio tracks from the MPC, while using the MPC as a controller?
I have my MPC MIDI in / out to my PC via a 4x4 MIDI box along with other synths, and I'd like to setup a workflow where I record everything in pro tools as MIDI and just send to my various synths triggering the multi track audio.. everything is routed back into PT so I can hear it all in real time.
I have this working with my Integra rack synth, using MPC 61 as a controller... sending MIDI from PT to different Integra tracks to trigger each sound, but can't get it working with the MPC. It works fine to one track, but when I start a 2nd instrument track in PT and send to MPC Channel 2, it does not work, it either triggers the first sound or the 2nd depending if I've switched tracks on the MPC..
I'm guessing it's a MIDI config issue, and I'm working through the Bible material but if there's a section there someone can point me to, or another tutorial that explains how to do this it would be much appreciated!
Thanks
