Error Saving MPC Project

So I’ve been using MPCs for a few years and never have experienced the number of headaches with this latest software. I’ve upgraded to a Live 2, a few years back and everything was fine for the first year then boom randomly I’m not able to save projects. I’m deep in churning out a beat and when I try to save I get “error saving MPC project” and all of my work is gone. This started about 9 months ago and I went thru the pain of working with Akai’s customer support and for weeks to months no resolution after doing everything they advised me to do (Akai CS rep just disappeared and never responded back to me). Then out of the blue after weeks of no response from Akai I’m able to save again and no issues for about 4 months up until last week. Same issue happens again while spending a good chunk of time working on a new beat. I’ve tried everything from saving to external hard drives to a flash drive.

I don’t use special characters for any labels for my projects and everything goes to my MPC folder. I’m up to date on all software for my Mac and MPC (including drivers). I’ve done the reset in preferences and uninstalled and reinstalled the software. Nothing works. I was able to save one old project but it turned out to be a fluke because I couldn’t save it again lol.

If anyone has experienced this and was able to get it resolved or even know why this is happening, please help!

As you stated, you saved stuff to your internal drive.

Take a deep dive into these forums and check relevant threads, as only manual moving / deletion will help.
