My head hurts... the mpc wasnt invented to be used as a sampler only. it had that ability but it was originally the "midi production center" I dunno how much more clear that can be.... to those of you that are hung up on the mpc being a "sampler" you dudes must be smokin fuggin crack if thats all you think it is. ITS A SEQUENCER!!!!!! not a "sampler" it does have that ability but it's primary overall design is to act as a sequencer.... 20 years of folks callin it a sampler!!! STOP IT lol FOR MY SANITY!!
They Changed it to "Music Production Center" After the Turn of the Millennium with the MPC 4000. Wit that logic, we should stop calling it a Drum Machine too Its a Collection of many products...Sequencer, Drum Machine, Sampler, Audio Interface, Effect Processor, a Brick....etc lol
Its ok if you guys call it a sampler....lol
The Sequencer is the Shittiest part of the MPC
I think like a MPC. A program is a tool. If the sculpture don't look right, Don't blame the chisel..

but they can get the job done, just very tediously for how I like make music.
