Hi I'm doing everything in the mpc itself
is there a more subtle way for fade-out a sequence (all drum pad one shot kinda sounds)
I tried automation but its so messy
and another way I can think of is bounce it to audio and then doing it there; but I'm kinda sound freak I don't wanna change anything I don't know about or kill the alive form I came up with
is there a more subtle way for it like older mpcs without bounce the sequence or is there a way, exercise or video to being better at automation and being more in control?
thanks in advance

Yes, sell the MPC and buy the Force, that way you'll be able to add a volume fade out automation on the master track itself, which you can't do on the MPC right now.

I just don't understand why the Force can automate return/submix/master tracks, but not the MPC Standalone or even MPC Software. I've never heard of a DAW which disallow return/group/master track automation.

If AKAI just uses this lack of functions as a differentiator to sell more Forces, then that kind of strategy is just petty. AKAI makes it hard for people to be MPC fans with all these shenanigans.

2 diff machines that don’t need to do the same things.
2 diff markets they target.
Everything can’t do everything all the time.
If that was the case we’d only need 1 machine.
Mpc software is an mpc w/ some daw features , it’s not a traditional daw in the spirit of cubase, reaper, logic, etc, and a mistake to place it in that box imo.

I get what you're saying, but the lack of certain features is puzzling & Akai, AKA the Mysterious Red Ninja, should be more upfront on why. If it's not possible for code reasons like those features caused unexpected glitches, then cool, but say so. If it's just because they want to keep the unit different, then that's some straight-up bullshit since most users won't buy both, so why should they not be given those certain features?

at the end of the day nothing achieved here but I have some suggestion if an actual akai guy read this
they could add a fade-out, fade-in button at the song mode! it could be handy people gonna use it a lot and I don't think that's gonna be hard from coding perspective there also could be a curve choosing option for it there is nothing but good things about that

Nah! That's fanboy talk. The MPC is a music device made by a corporation that love profits, not people. Your life shouldn't be centered around something you didn't create yourself, especially a device that won't even give you audio fade ins/outs. But do you I guess

q-link edit, create a program q-link for volume affecting a whole program.
tc off, odub the sequence and fade out that program at the end of the target seq.

IF, all sequences / all tracks are aligned perfectly, add the fade out sequence at the end of song mode (lots of people’s tracks aren’t aligned and problems occur in song mode. Mpc’s will ONLY use the track assignments of the very first sequence in the songmode chain)

Song mode is ONLY for chaining seqs, not audio, not recording automations, not recording. But you know this already.

I don't know man there are lots of music devices out there but mpc just gave me such a playground to achieve what I want that I'm just so grateful for it specially if you try and fail for so long. it's not perfect but perfection is achievable with it, it gave me a chance with sounds that I never had before and it's affordable too

yeah thanks you are right I should try it out tho, I also find out that pencil thing in the grid that doesn't destroy other sequence volume settings, it could be useful too
