backing up data from the mpc one

My second SD card died yesterday, i neglected to backup the data for some weeks, which are now lost.
Is there a way to mount the SD Card via LAN or USB?

is it a better method to use USB Stick than SD cards?

How long have you been using it for?

I don't think USB is more reliable than SD cards. You may have just got a bad card. I've only had 1 SD card die on me, but that was in a camera.

it is a kingston 128GB Card, i bought it in january.

it isn't even detected as a device, tried in windows and linux, just dead.

maybe I go with an USB SSD drive this time, those flash drives are made for daily IO

Go with the USB if you want, but I think you just got a bad card & could also end up with a bad USB stick or SSD. When it comes to electronics, shit happens.

Don't forget you can also use micro SD & an SD adapter which is usually cheaper in price.
