multiple tracks with the same plugin instrument info

Hi! When assigning the same plugin instrument to tracks 1 and 2 on the MPC Key 61 in standalone mode (for example the same electric guitar instrument from Fabric XL library), what happens if I play and record the same note on these 2 tracks (on the same spot in sequence), will one note cancel each other or will this same note play/be heard on both tracks when playing back the sequence? Thanks!

As long as you do not reach the maximum polyphony on that plugin or using monophonic plugins, there is no cancellation.

A MIDI track is like a player, and the plugin is an instrument. Two MIDI tracks playing one plugin program is like two people playing the same piano. Except, how to handle simultaneous or overlapping note-ons and note-offs on the same notes, is completely up to the plugin's programmer to decide. You may get two copies of the same note, or just one. There's no standard behavior.

What happens with some particular plugin you have, go and try it out, it's not difficult.

It seems that in polyphonic patches of polyphonic plugins, the notes played at the same timing/pitch are sounding twice.
