I have the mpc live2 and the mpc key 61 workstation. I’m try to figure out how to use midi cables to sync the recording start and bpm together? I’m using live 2 strictly for drum tracks only and the key 61 for the bass lines chords and melody tracks. Then using Mute on both to arrange my song in to tascam 24sd in tracks.
I just got back into beat / song making hobby coming from 20year break from music 1994-2002 I was using tascam cassette tape on a tascam 4 track with technics 1200s, Vestax pro7A, Roland groove box 505/303/303, Yamaha qy10. Sony mini disc, music mpc 2500/2500 daisy chained to record to stop and play together midi wise except the turntables and 2ch mixer for scratching vinyl. I done for how thing work midi wise. I had a good work flow unit life hit. So that my background i was a dj but wanted to make breakbeats and house beats.
