I would like to use sequences and song mode to set up backing tracks for playing live guitar and vox. MPC Live mk1, usb audio interface, couple of analog synths receiving midi, using odyssey, mellotron, and drum synth plugins, and several audio tracks (live vocals and electric guitar using MPC effects, plus some harmony/backing tracks for certain parts).

I want to be able to have the effects and settings on the same track change from one sequence to the next, i.e. as you switch from seq 1 to seq 2 the live guitar track goes from having analog sync delay on to off, an odyssey plugin track switches from one preset to another, etc. So far I've only been able to get midi tracks to switch from mute to unmute, and even that doesn't work for audio tracks (can have audio clip present in one seq and not in the next though).

Is this not possible? Do I really have to have multiple tracks with multiple settings that mute or unmute for midi or have clips or not for audio? Any way to have the "live" audio tracks change effects/settings from one sequence to another? I've tried messing with the automation settings, googling, and scanning the manual, sorry if this is something dumb or simple!

4 fx slots per pad
4 fx slots per program,
4x8 fx slots for submixes
4x4 fx slots for sends
4 fx slots for main out

If fx are static then bounce the sequence audio and free up fx slots.
Use a duplicate or diff program in the next sequence.
Duplicate programs have no ties to the original,
