Live 2 vs One+ content differences?

I'm debating between a One+ and a Live 2. I understand the hardware differences, but I'm trying to understand the difference in content/libraries included with both.

Based on the available free space on both, it looks like the Live 2 has about 5gb more content included from the factory than the One+. Is there any detailed reference on exactly what content is included with both?

I think I'm leaning towards the smaller form factor and more buttons on the One+, but if the additional content on the Live 2 is really useful/valuable I might be swayed the other way.

Lots more factory content on the Live 2, but IMO don't sweat it, it's all generic drums and loops etc, much of it recycled from older expansions, definitely would not be letting it factor in to any purchasing decisions.

Buying an MPC for its factory content is not the way to go. It’s really generic stuff. I’d buy the Live 2 though for its speaker and battery. The One+ seems to have quality issues, do a search here…

The One+ is your friend for all compact things and when you easily want to transport it. It has smaller pads, but if you aren‘t used to an MPC and can handle LPD-sized pads, you‘re good to go.

Other than that, battery and the (surprisingly OK speakers) on the Live2 are massive. It has less direct buttons, but holding menu + pad selection are almost equally quick. It is rather heavy, so it is not really „mobile“, since the One‘s weight is much lighter to carry. You‘ll need AC power nonetheless. I wouldn‘t advise for power banks, but users have reported them working if you check for the specs.

Then there‘s I/O, and the Live2 can hold an SSD. But the One+ gets you a free plugin… Mini D and Delay Pro are bang for the buck there. Flavor Pro is also cool, but rather specialized.

It‘s a hard choice. But don‘t choose it for content, get Tutor‘s expansions or other samples. You‘ll pay extra either way while ending up not using much of the extra content.

Thanks for all the feedback. So I won't worry about included content. My use case is primarily as a daw in a small home studio. I won't be finger drumming and don't really care about battery or speakers, so those aspects of the Live 2 don't really matter to me. The extra outputs and ssd option would be nice, but smaller footprint and few extra buttons one the One+ are attractive also. Tough call. Even tougher since a nice used Live 2 is almost the same price as a new One+.

I'm sure ssd would be much faster than a sd card one the One+, but in practice does it matter that much? With a good sd card are performance and load times with sampling and audio good enough that it's not frustrating to work with?

The mpc browser is not very efficient at loading samples and there’s actually very little real world difference between using sd cards and ssd drives (in terms of speed at least). If using an mpc one just get yourself a couple of decent class 10 sd cards and back up regularly
