Momentary/ DJ effects with external control

Hey all,

I map a pad on my Novation Launchcontrol (midi cc being sent, not a note) to the Mix of an effect on a program (or submix or whatever) and when I press and hold the pad, the effect happens momentarily. Works great.

Does anyone do this and /or do you have insight into making this better?

Cool momentary effects chains for different instruments? I’ve been doing reverb/ delay sends level, stutter and granulator. Maybe some favorites you do on an SP-404 that can be reproduced on MPC?

Oh dude, I've been thinking about if since I got my Live, I could not believe Akai did not make a plugin specifically for trigerring momentary fx chains from the pads and/or the touch screen.
Could you tell a bit more about how you made it work?
I've been thinking about getting an MPD or Novation Launchpad, or something with faders - I used to love faders on my MPC 1000 for all kinds of weird stuff

Do you try using the Touch FX feature that added like a year ago? Me & most other don't really use it. This may not be what your asking but since it went under the radar you may not even know about depending if your a new user.

Maybe not what you’re thinking of but with long release times and adjusting the mix balance on the XY fx you can momentarily tap in delays, ring mod harmonics, etc. - and the granulator (although you don’t have access to detailed parameters sadly).

They have done so. 3 times at that. (Although one of them you have to buy separately.)

Touch FX (MPC X only??)
Flex Beat (although I don't undertstand why this is a 4x4 grid yet can#t be triggered by the pads!) Most of the default presets are set to latching mode but they can all be set to trigger momentary.
