have yet to follow. You now have what, 44 days (30 days not including weekends) to hash all of this out? Never mind the fact that supply chain issues are still very much a thing. Sure some of the departments overlap, and I'm certain wheels started turning a while ago, but again there's ZERO way this is announced, manufactured, and in stores available for purchase before Jan 1st 2024. I will give you the benefit of the doubt on QC/beta testing, though. Akai seems to skip that entire process.

I'm beginning to think you're the guy in the video.

fair enuff maybe they shooting for winter namm lets see; speculation is fun

* at least two usb ports (1 x usb host ?)
* at least one pair of audio outputs (doesn't seem to have sampling capability)
* Wifi / BT 5.0
* SD card slot / no internal SSD bay
* Flash Drive (whatever it means) - most probably it was a pendrive that been used during testing
* Two additional unknown ports (midi jacks ?)

potentially it might be an extension to an iPad app but that is just a wild guess.

where did u get this information from?

Dawid is just making generalizations from the FCC data he posted in the first page of this thread.

dimension are defo in alignment with the mpc live mini; more so then a mini keyboard, unless its 25 mini keys

u said it does not sample but we have seen the sp404 mk2 samples via usb c so that is most likely they have done with the live mini.

not sure why u would assume that its an extension to the ipad on; that seems a very illogical conclusion, cos why would they need a flash drive or sd card slot if this thing was linking with the ipad

the most logical conclusion based on the dimensions is that this is mpc live mini as per the tip off video

The SD-Card and the JetFlash700 are used in basically every test scenario for all MPC/Force devices during the last years. Must be their default storage media for testing. The iPad was also used for the One+. So I wouldn't read too much into the iPad usage. Might be that they just have some new test measures where an iPad helps. Before that they used a Laptop.

... and like 15cm deep. This is roughly 3/5th-ish the size of the MPC Live II.

If it’s really the key37, then it will have the smallest keys on the planet

MPK Mini Plus is approx 45cm wide with 37 keys so most probably that is what its form factor will be. If thats the case then most probably it won’t have full size screen which will be replaced with small 128x32 oleds (mpc studio mkII (?)) . Is it a money grab ? most probably, will I buy it ? don’t think so, but I can see why it could be a compelling piece of gear for young bedroom producers doing their stuff for tiktok and other social platforms.

so do u see the mpc key 37 as the same product that the pad pusher dude was talking about in that vid regarding the mpc live mini? I would suggest not or could there be a a seperate product in the; so maybe they do the mpc key 37 first then the live mini after

i guess its better that akai decided to go with a mini key mpc instead of a live mini as the live mini would not offer any major difference to the sp404mk2 or the ep133 ko2, but at least doing the mini keys gives them a more unique product
