weird problem syncing minilogue via DAW - tempo goes crazy!

Hi!

i constantly work with MPC ONE and a bunch of external synths... these days i'm connecting some of them via RSH-TECH 7 usb hub and i'm also playing the minilogue which i haven't done in a while...

Also, i'm recording in my DAW (I use Reaper), so i have set up a MIDI cable connecting MPC midi in with my interface's (Behringer U-PHORIA UMC 1820) midi out.

It works well up until I activate the Minilogue in the usb hub: tempo starts going crazy. As soon as I deactivate the minilogue from the hub things gradually slide back to normal (made a super short video playing the MPC click:

Also, this strange behaviour has started yesterday: the day before everything was working fine.
I'm aware this must be something I have done (duh) - I have tried all I could think of but now i'm going a little bit crazy so I thought I could try to to seek some help here.

I've tried to disconnect all midi devices etc... even if I leave the minilogue as the only external synth connected this will happen.

Needless to say, if I'm not syncing from Reaper everything goes as it should.

You have MIDI clock on your MPC set to both send and receive, and the Korg Minilogue has its own built-in sequencer that is free running as soon as you turn it on. Maybe a MIDI feedback loop is occuring once you turn your Minilogue on?

I've got the Minilogue XD, and I sync my Minlogue XD's tempo to external clock (the MPC or Force). But on my MPC, I don't have both send and receive clock on - I just have send MIDI clock on since I use my MPC/Force as the master in my studio.

From your Minilogue manual:

Auto (USB), Auto (MIDI): When there is no input, the internal clock will be used; and when input is detected, the internal clock will be synchronized to the clocks from the USB B and MIDI IN connectors respectively.
Internal: Only the internal clock to be used.

I wonder what the MPC's MIDI monitor is showing when the issue happens? MIDI Clock explosion?

I think it is as EnochLight says: as I have the MPC on both send and recieve the Minilogue must be doing something funny in its midi clock settings - I think it's most definetely a midi feedback loop for the clock as Enoch says. I have tried all possible configurations on the minilogue (there aren't many anyways) but it would always give me same results.

I'll try to investigate further in the next days. I'll post my discoveries if any
