Hello. Hopefully someone can clarify for me:
I have an AKAI MPC One+ which runs on 12V 3A (36W)
My power bank (Anker A1136 rated at 100W PD per USBC) will power it via the included USBC cable fitted with a USB to DC adapter rated for PD 12V 3A.
But... The MPC seems to only be pulling ~7.5W with peaks around 8W and some functions seem to work slower and more unstable (I got one crash and some laggy knobs) than when it's plugged in at the wall with the original DC power supply.
I notice that the power bank manual says the A1136 puts out 12V @ 1.5A (18W) or 15V @ 3A (45W) but there's no way to switch it manually.
Since my USBC to DC adapter is rated for 12V 3A, do I need to replace it with one rated for 15V 3A in order for the bank to switch to 45W mode so that the MPC can pull the correct power?
I'm a little confused so any advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
