Touchscreen Drag and Drop on MPC Live 1?

Hi there

Just got a used MPC Live 1 and I see I am unable to use a drag and drop motion on the touch screen (I am currently attempting to assign samples) is this something only the MPC Live 2 does or is there possible something wrong with this MPC?

I have reset preferences twice. Thanks!

To drag samples to the pads (all mpc models), go to browser > sample assign . Also make sure you are up to date on the firmware (2.14).
