I suspect the pad layout isn't quite standard - hit me with your suggestions !

Also, no pad colors - but that is another thread.

Anyway, nice to have bidirectional interaction between with MPC: live noodling on the TR-8, record MIDI on the MPC, sequence from the MPC... Useful to transition from the murky jamming phase to the decanted song mode phase.

While we're at it, a tip: if you edit Pad Perform custom note map, don't use the data wheel, instead use the double tap drop down option !

A quick side-by-side comparison of the TR-8 and TR-8S MIDI CC shows their shared lineage, but they are not compatible. The TR-8 MIDI program may be a good starting point for making the TR-8S MIDI program though, as most CC are identical.
