You need to connect it with a ethernet cable to an internet enabled device with an ethernet port. For example, a router, a powerline adapter or a wifi-to-ethernet device. After that, the MPC should handle the connection automatically, however I find it can take up to 5 minutes before the MPC One acknowledges it has an internet connection.

Please give more details on what your exact problem is and which specific aspect you need help with.

Hi I have same problem - ( activating plugins for instance happen through internet ) - however I have only access to hotspot on my phone and really no other devices with "ethernet cable".

Is there a way to connect different way ? To be honest not that many people use devices with ethernet cables these days .....

Thank you for any help

Short answer: no.

I have tried plugging a WiFi dongle to the USB port and it explicitly says that kind of device is not supported.

So it's cable or nothing.

The 'activate plugins' screen has an option to manually enter a serial number so I assume that's effectively for offline activation (I haven't tried it myself)? But you can log into your inmusic account on your computer to get the serials, might be worth a try.

Otherwise if you need internet you'll need to try some of the previous suggestions. Something like this wireless bridge should work to give you the option of ethernet cable from a wifi signal (please note I haven't tried it myself)

Hey guys, the DNS changing works well for me.
I took much time trying a couple of solutions what even made me think that the Ethernet would be just to use with Ableton Link.

Also worked when I tested with TP-Link USB Ethernet dongle with automatic DNS. AS IT IS.

My setup:
Internet Router --wire-> Personal Router --wire-> MPC One

Have nice weekend.
