This is key.

Akai has so many new MPC users then ever that are coming from software & expect certain things to be there, or at least not expecting basic thing to be so crappy, like plugins disappearing, audio interface distortion, unreliable wifi, saving to internal memory...etc, & make them think what's the point of getting a hardware device, but still having to deal this type of BS. Wasn't hardware supposed to be more stable?

These goodies can only go but so far because once the honeymoon phase is over & people start fully seeing the good, the bad & the ugly of the MPC & then starting adding to the ever growing suggestion & bug report threads.

QOL improvements & key wanted features helps to sell more units & prevents current users from selling because of the the bad & ugly side of the device. More people becoming customers & less users leaving means that, there's more customers to buy the goodies.

100% agreed... case in point: I have sold my MPC because anything I can do with it is clunkier than doing it in Ableton. What little advantage it still has in terms of immediacy is offset by the fact that I have to import everything in Ableton anyway for mixing and proper fx... and if I really just wanna bang out something to a loop quickly, the 404mk2 is more than capable...

I also would like to see a more reduced OS that focusses on consistency, quality, quality of life and reduced visuals while being rock solid at its core. I think that's the only thing that would get me to buy another Inmusic MPC...

BTW swing can be real time. Go to 'Preferences > Sequencer' and enable 'Q-Link Swing Control Applies TC Settings on Release'. Now with your sequence playing, use Q-LINK 7 to adjust swing - whenever you let go of the Qlink, the current swing settings will get applied.

If they want to add some glitter than maybe they could finally add Visual EQ, Spectrum Analyzer and as an "Extra Feature" they should allow the Screens to switch the the old DOS looking ones on the Older Mpc's... That or something different than Grey and Red... Maybe a "dimmer" feature for the Screen. It only has Day/Night mode.. Why not just let us Adjust the Values Ourselves? Also... A god damn decent reverb ffs. I could really care less about Stems... They want to add a billion more Plugins. How about they make the Swing work like the old Mpc's. It's not in real time. Also... In all reality... Automation should be more like Ableton, Bitwig or any other DAW, they should change how people can interact with it. Simplify it. Lets be real it's a pretty Janky. And for god sakes... They really could add a timeline. I personally Do not Need it, but I know many many people that talked about it in the past. They have bloated up this machine with enough expansion packs, pay to own Fx and Plugins. I haven't bought a Plugin or FX for it yet. I'm at the point of not spending another dollar on Akai(even thought I havent in years) until I see something changed about what I'd said above. There is so much more I am missing but it is late. Goodnight.

Yeah. It is what it is. I doesn't keep me from using it as a sampler/midi sequencer though or anything.
Thanks for the info. I forgot about that. I seen it once awhile back, but I didn't update my Mpc for almost years until earlier this year. I'll check that out!
Also I agree with what every ones saying. Even the part about spaces in between paragraphs
But really... I do wish more QoL Improvements over anything else. Right now since there's no visual eq or spectrum analyzer, it wouldn't make a difference in terms of functionality if the Screen looked like the old DOS Mpc Screens or the ones now. If they did add visual representations of things, than I would enjoy using it more. If they aren't going to give us that, then just give me DOS theme than I can Dim or at least dimming controls with more than 2 settings.

 Good to know you can take a joke.
If they add the spectrum analyzer, I hope we can have it float on top of most other menu screens & not just access it in 1 menu, tho, that still would be better than nothing.

With all the money Akai made recently, not investing it in some QOL updates it will be kinda disrespectful to release another gimmicky plugin. "Ring the Alarm Deluxe Edition" is not the move Akai!

Yes, but I think ATM they are getting a little carried away and need to restore a little more balance, people will quickly grow tired of being nickle and dimed on every new feature, especially when really obvious core functionality has been ignored for years.

Sort out that stuff and watch people throw themselves deeper into the ecosystem, and hence be more likely to purchase more add ons.

in this youtube era of beat making everything is mostly superficial and surface level; hence why akai feel no need to focus on deeper aspects of functionality and ecosytem.

The surface level stuff is more popular in this tik tok era where attention spans are short, so would not expect akai to switch lanes when they have found huge popularity and success going down this avenue.
