Audio track madness

Was working with a RAM-heavy project on the X using a lot of sequences and all 8 audio tracks, there were a lot of unused samples in the project so I decided to purge and then save - and as if by evil magic all of my audio tracks are now blank. Have to rebuild all the audio tracks from the project folder now. Just a warning to anyone attempting the same thing - check the project after purging before you save, if you’re using the audio tracks. They are useful, but so badly implemented it’s astonishing. I wish this thing saved incremental backups.

Damn that sucks, but thanks for the warning. You can save your own incremental backs up by adding a new number after the current project file name: Beat-1, Beat-2, Beats-3.... they will all share the same samples so it doesn't take up more memory.

Yeah, should have done that, I’ll be trying to be more careful in future. I’ve just made myself a ton of work as I was using the audio tracks intensively, lots of DAW-style micro-edits - all gone, so it’s not just a question of dropping the relevant audio back into the slot. I don’t understand where all that edit data lives; it’s not with the associated .pgm file, or the audio, and it doesn’t seem to be in the sequence either. Maybe someone wiser on the coding front can enlighten me…
