MPC KEY 37...?

I feel you. The Force is made for keys. And if it had keys the better have an weighted keys option - which they won't & it would just be awkward. Force+Keylab88 mk2 is the way.

It's been a while since I've posted on here, as I sold my MPC X to fund the Push 3 when it dropped.

However, This happens to have the dimensions to fit right on my desk next to the push, and I've been a little frustrated with my eurorack sequencing options. I always loved the ease of sequencing modular with the mpc line.

I already bought a good bit of the Akai plug ins, so at $849 out the door from my dealer, I coudn't resist.
Basically the cost of a couple high end eurorack modules, the feature set is nice, and I will be using it along side the push 3, not a replacement for it.

I meant to say the Force *isn't meant for keys.

Are there people with an MPC Key 37 here ?
I've bought it just to try it .. and despite the color really loving it

Only 2 things are annoying me , and that is that here a High pitch (ringing) sound coming from the Unit .. around the Q-links its hearable and it's freaking me out.
If i got to the Preference menu the sound is gone , and as soon as i go the main page or any other that sound comes back.

And if i look through the keys at the height of the Note repeat button i see a Red light (led) blinking inside the unit.
Other user also having this things ?

You have a ground issue with the outlet your are using, have you tried another outlet to see if the sound persist.

It's a coil whine induced by the display screen. Reason why it doesn't happen in preferences window is that this page is mostly black and requires less current to be drawn by the display screen.
You can confirm it further by switching screen into "night mode", if the pitch of whine change or if it stops completely it means that you're on the right track, in that case I would send the unit back.

I've tried both things , completly hooked up the mpc into another outlet and the sounds keep persisting , and when i switched to day and night mode.
its hard to hear , but i can definitely hear it's al little less when in night mode.

yep, coil whine - it's harmless tbf but annoying af.

Anyone with Key37, does it state when the free plugin coupon expires ?

Why choose orange, idk, ext devices use type a for charging. Does the 37 charge itself with that port, it has an internal battery. Charging/battery option wont take away the ugly, not at all.

There has to be a reason. idc enough to find out why.

AFAIK, a USB B-type connector with orange plastic is usually an industrial grade variant with high-retention force, so the plug from the cable won’t come out so easily.

Good to know! I'm always like man this cable wont come out, gonna strip it one day from the unit by mere force I need to make.
