Plz help lost all sequences

Hello, I’m relatively new to mpc and have just come across a huge issue. I have two projects that upon opening are just empty. I can see the xpj and corresponding sample folders when I look at the sd card in my computer but when I open it up on the mpc and the vst it is just completely empty. I know to back up my saves at this point but I’m wondering if I’m missing something. They worked fine forever and I always close my shit down properly. I’m sad and confused here.
