Is what people keep telling me.

And they would be right
Keeping at least one unit of the older workflow close by.

Or stay in 2.0 on the newer MPCs, but missing out on further updates.
Or have two newer MPCs to have both 2.0 and 3.0 ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Never was a fan of the 2.0, too convoluted, too many pages and menus. Too many taps on screen to get simple things done, often unintuitive and poorly designed UI overall.
3.0 makes much more sense from what I've seen so far, main screen being much more useful, learn function for Qlinks etc etc. Much more to the point, can't wait.

just ignore the guy, been thru this already, no way to discuss in a friendly manner.
i know what you are saying, i value my 1k and my mpc live for different reasons, i've done big PA's with both and as told numerous times while the mpc live performed very well, the 1k\2.5k has something that works better especially for drums and especially if you know how to mix stuff on a limited machine OR you use those individual outs to a proper mixing desk. this opinion isn't based solely on my own perception but on multiple feedbacks i received during the years. its a subtle but not too subtle difference. that said, i can play a good set with the mpc live as well and noone will complain. my mix might sound more sophisticated cause of the available plugins, while on the 1k it will sound rougher and a little dirtyer.

Ok, so after about a full day messing with this machine I realize that I love it. Now i Understand what some people were talking about. 2 issues that I have though:

1. So many additional features (like 4 efx per sample) that have me spending so much effin' time experimenting with them and their parameters, that I find 2 hours has gone by only working on efx.

2. Everytime I double a sequence I get random notes from other pads inserted onto the track. Why is that?

Overall, I am quite happy with the upgrade. VERY happy. And it takes up less space. I have my Victrola Revolution Go and all I need now is a battery pack for the MPC to be totally portable.

Thank you guys for your input. Well appreciated.
