MPC Key 37 high pitched noise issue when pad lights are on

You got any blue lights, or RGB leds. For some reason audio gear doesn't like that color and emmits noises sometimes depending how clean your electricity is and what's hooked up to what. Not for everyone, but I've noticed it, but only in my audio signal. Google "blue led audio noise". Maybe something is on a whole different scale wherever you make music. Also idk if it's a blue only thing, but it was for me. You got any powerbanks that take AC just to eliminate the idea it's dirty electricity.

Also I believe the micro SD slot that stores the MPC stock sounds and OS is under the pads. If you look between the keys under the pads, you'll see a RED light that blinks when something is loading. Does the noise match the blinking?

I'm also getting this with a brand new MPC Key 37, fresh out of the box today!
Were there any solutions?... (other than turning the pads off!?)

Good shout, but nothing with blue LED's in my very minimal setup but I know the kind of thing you mean.

This is definitely the pad lights. When you turn it on and you get that nice little light display fading in and out across all pads, you can hear the noise exactly syncing with the lights lighting up.

Just moved into a relatively new build (3 years old) so electric should be good. Also no such noise happening with the MPC Live (I've also tried swapping the PSU's) so all pointing towards the 37 at this stage.

I can live with it - it's just a bit annoying every now and again when I notice it. hopefully can be fixed with a firmware update or the option to turn the lights off will be added.

Sadly not that I'm aware of. Let us know if you find a workaround though.

I did find that going back to firmware 2.13 eliminates the ASIO crackling in controller mode though, if you get that also.

I also have this issue on a secondhand unit - the seller (who offered to help with a warranty return so I trust him) swears he never had the issue so it might well be a power issue. I've had a lot of noise with other devices so might well be.

There is a workaround - turn down the pad brightness in the hardware menu. The dimmer they are, the quieter the noise and I can't hear anything at all with them set to minimum, even with my ear pressed against it.

I was initially a bit annoyed at not having the pads be bright but I actually can't see why I'd care about it so no harm caused really!
