MPC LIVE 2/ SATA DRIVE EJECTION!!

Hey All- Newbie here.
This may or may not be a silly question but just looking for the right answer from those who know.
I just installed a 1 TB SATA drive to my Live II. I formatted the disk, it shows up in the browser with no issues.

Do I need to actually eject this disk every time I turn off the MPC Live II?
I would think this would defeat the purpose of installing the drive into the provided slot. For that, I can just use the SD or thumb drive slots in the rear if I have to mount the SATA drive every time I turn the sampler on.

No you do not need to eject the SATA disk when turning off the MPC in standalone mode. If you connect your MPC to your computer in controller mode then yes, eject the SATA disk from your computer before returning to standalone mode or powering down.
